PubMed.ai is an AI-powered search engine for biomedical and clinical knowledge discovery. Our mission is to help medical professionals, researchers, and students access reliable, evidence-based knowledge faster than ever.
PubMed.ai is built by a dedicated team of seven biomedical researchers, each with strong academic roots in both life sciences and artificial intelligence. For years, PubMed has been our go-to source for literature. But every time we used it, we felt the same frustration. Why is it so hard to find what we need? Unless you know how to use MeSH terms, complex filters, and advanced Boolean syntax, PubMed can feel like a locked vault of knowledge, full of value, but hard to reach. So, we decided to do something to change that. See how to search with PubMed.ai.
Built by People Who've Been There
We weren't born programmers. We're medical students, doctors, and researchers who turned to AI because we needed better tools to work more efficiently. Instead of spending hours crafting search queries or reading through dozens of irrelevant papers, we wanted a way to find and understand the research that matters quickly. By saving time on the technical parts, we could focus more on what really counts—thinking critically, asking better questions, and applying insights to real-world problems in healthcare and science. What started as a side project between colleagues turned into something much bigger: PubMed.ai — an AI-powered research assistant built for biomedical professionals, by biomedical professionals. We wanted to make it easier for anyone, whether you're a student writing your first case report, a physician checking the latest treatment guidelines, or a researcher planning a study, to access and understand medical literature.
Why We're Here
Accessing scientific knowledge shouldn't feel overwhelming. But for many of us, it often did. Finding the right paper sometimes meant spending hours trying to get the search just right. We built PubMed.ai because we wanted something simpler. Something that helps you focus on the ideas, not the formatting. A tool that lets you ask real questions and get real answers from the literature. Today, we're a small team still learning, still improving, and still using PubMed.ai in our own work. If PubMed.ai helps you feel more confident in your research or makes reading papers a little easier, then it's doing what it was meant to do.
